Dr. Shun-Peng Zhu, Professor in Mechanical Engineering at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), China. He received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from UESTC in 2011, and worked as PIF Fellow of Politecnico di Milano, Italy from 2016 to 2018 and research associate at University of Maryland, United States in 2010. His research which has been published in scholarly journals and edited volumes, over 150 peer-reviewed journal papers, explores the aspects: fatigue reliability; probabilistic Physics of Failure modeling; multi-physics damage modeling and life predictions. He received Second class Natural Science Research Awards of Sichuan Province (2022) and Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics (2022) and Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (2025), First Prize of Technological Invention of China Association of Inventions (2022), three Most Cited Paper Awards of FFEMS Journal (2018-2022), Robert Moskovic Award (2024) and Award of Merit (2019) of ESIS-TC12, Top 100 Most Influential International Academic Paper Award of China (2018), Polimi International Fellowship (2016), Hiwin Doctoral Dissertation Award (2012), Best Paper Awards of 6 international conferences. He is featured as Elsevier Most Cited Chinese Researchers in the field of Safety, Risk, Reliability and Quality since 2018 and serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Structural Integrity, editorial board member of several international journals like EFA, IJFatigue, FFEMS and book series.
